LFC Supporters' Committee Vacancy

ALONGSIDE making noise or waving banners at matches (or maybe using social media when not at the match), there are a number of different ways that Liverpool fans can make themselves heard.

LFCSC Liverpool FC Supporters CommitteeIndependent of the club is the supporters’ union, Spirit of Shankly, set up at a dark time for Liverpool when there were strong concerns about the ownership of the club – concerns that time showed were well founded. The country’s first supporters union, the SoS continues to operate today on issues that might not be quite as dire for the future of the club seven years later but are still important to those impacted. For more information see their site: www.spiritofshankly.com

Another method is to get in touch with the official Supporter’s Committee. Set up by the club, it is made up of fans from different walks of like including some key members of the Spirit of Shankly. The Honorary President is Karen Gill, Bill Shankly’s granddaughter.

A vacancy has now arisen for a fan to take up the role as representative of supporters in the Merseyside area. If you’re interested, full details are below.

Would you like the opportunity to represent Liverpool Football Club’s global fanbase and play a part in helping to shape the future of your club?

If so, the Liverpool FC Supporters’ Committee (LFC SC) is looking for a passionate and knowable fan to represent the Reds’ fans in the Merseyside area – a position that has been successfully held by James Benson since 2011.

A dedicated individual is required to listen to, support and represent the club’s Merseyside fanbase through the ongoing work of the Supporters’ Committee.

The committee, consisting of 12 voluntary fan representatives and an honorary president, helps the club to better understand the vital issues for supporters and consider their views and opinions.

Members meet with senior club officials in Liverpool at least four times per season to discuss the matters and raise the questions that are most pertinent to the section of fans they represent.
