Infographic: Liverpool V Everton

ON the eve of the latest Merseyside Derby livefootball.co.uk have sent us this Liverpool v Everton infographic comparing the two teams both this season and since 1901.

The gap in numbers between the two club’s social media followings might be large but the gap that matters is in that league table where the two sides are separated by one point and two places. A win for Everton would see them move above the Reds in the table. Anything less than three points for the Reds would open the door to Tottenham to move above them in the table and in that hunt for a top four finish.

Both clubs go into the fixture with injury worries, Liverpool likely to be without Agger, Sakho, Johnson, Enrique, Lucas and possibly Joe Allen. Those injury worries have exposed the lack of depth of quality in the Liverpool squad, a situation that has left many Liverpool fans wondering why the club have remained quiet in the transfer market this January.

Liverpool’s two top scorers, Suarez (22) and Sturridge (11) are now on a combined 33 for the season, two behind Everton’s total goals scored this term. Everton’s top scorer is the on-loan Lukaku with nine.

The match kicks off at 8pm UK time tomorrow evening and will be shown live by BT Sports from Anfield.
