Reds unchanged: LFC v Swansea

AN UNCHANGED Liverpool side will be out looking for three points at Anfield this afternoon against a Swansea City side yet to record an away win this season. The Reds won their last outing 2-0 away at West Brom and manager Kenny Dalglish has kept faith with the same 11 from the off.

Captain Steven Gerrard was already out for this one, having undergone treatment on an infected ankle, and vice-captain Jamie Carragher, rated doubtful before the game, hasn’t made the 18.

Pepe Reina’s back four is Johnson and Enrique at full-back with Agger and Skrtel at centre-back, the same back-line that got a rare clean sheet in that game in the Midlands. Carroll and Suarez start up front – Liverpool’s last six games have included four wins, the duo started all four but not the two that were drawn.

Jordan Henderson is rewarded for two good displays by keeping his place in the side, alongside Charlie Adam and Lucas Leiva. Downing starts, Bellamy is on the bench alongside Kuyt and Maxi.

Teams:

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Adam, Downing, Henderson, Carroll, Suarez.
Subs: Doni, Kelly, Coates, Spearing, Maxi, Bellamy, Kuyt.

Swansea: Vorm, Williams, Taylor, Monk, Rangel, Britton, Dyer, Routledge, Allen, Gower, Graham.
Subs: Tremmel, Moras, Sinclair, Agustien, Richards, Lita, Moore

Ref: Phil Dowd
